Friendsgiving is more than a
fundraiser. It is an evening of community, connection, and purpose,
where youth and supporters come together to celebrate leadership and
civic engagement across New York City. The recent mayoral election
brought out record numbers of voters across the city, showing that
people are paying attention and stepping up. Our youth are part of
that civic momentum, and we want to keep building on it.
Each year, YVote equips hundreds of
young people to step into their power as civic leaders through
programs like Changemakers, Democracy Camp, and our Youth Media
Team. This fall, our community is growing fast — and we need your
support to keep up with that momentum.
Friendsgiving is free to attend, but
we’re encouraging a suggested donation of $50 to help us reach our
$25,000 goal, with a $5,000 match already in play. Every dollar
directly supports stipends, leadership training, and opportunities
for youth who are shaping the civic landscape of NYC.

$2,000 — Civic Action Scholarship for
a graduating youth Changemakers to help with books and college expenses
$1,500 — Yearlong stipend for a Youth
Facilitator leading civic sessions

Democracy Project or community campaign
$500 — Provides MetroCards for a
cohort of youth for one semester
$250 — Covers supplies and materials
for civic dialogues and workshops
