Your donation goes directly to the
San Quentin Library!

We are an all-volunteer run organization whose mission is to support the needs of prison libraries. We work closely with the librarians and incarcerated library staff at San Quentin.

In addition to purchasing books for the library collection or for programs or clubs at San Quentin, we also support programming at the prison library.

Our most notable program is our bi-annual family literacy event called the Kid's Book Fair for San Quentin Residents which allows residents the chance to pick out brand new books to send to their family members.

We also support the Stitchers of San Quentin program which is an "inmate" led leisure group focused on fabric arts.

Support for other prison libraries in California, especially those that are more remote, is also a priority for us and we do books drives for other prisons twice a year.

All donations go to support all these efforts.
