Kibera is the largest urban slum in Africa. Within Kibera resides a unique non-profit organization known as ‘The Hope and Shine Center’.

While public schooling is free in Kenya, numerous families struggle to cover additional expenses such as meals, uniforms, and books. Consequently, many children are unable to attend school and remain at home.

The school accommodates 50 students, ranging in age from 18 months to 8 years old. 

The Kids Of Kibera Project ensures students receive breakfast and lunch, stationery, and, above all, a complete day of schooling (a fundamental human right).
