It’s with a very heavy heart that we announce that we have lost our dad, the one and only Dan E. Cold. Our beloved dad, husband, Bapa, son, brother and friend. We can’t even begin to imagine this world without him. He was the ultimate example of positivity and has more friends than any of us could ever try to count. My mom summed him up perfectly when she said he only had three emotions: happy, happier and happiest. He taught us so many life lessons about going with the flow, to “lighten UP!!”, that “life is easier if you ride the horse in the direction it’s going!”, and don’t sweat the small stuff. He actually didn’t sweat a thing! We are trying to figure out how we will navigate life without him but we also know that his values will be ingrained within us forever. He was brave, kind, friendly, always up for any adventure, a world traveler, a lifelong learner, an investor, a reader, a golfer, a grandkid superfan, a wine connoisseur, a hard worker, an escargot (amongst other gross choices😆) eater, helpful, playfully silly, fiercely loyal, endlessly positive, and above all hilarious. He was cracking jokes and jumping in ball pits until the very end. He was truly one of a kind and we will miss him immensely.

Dan was so proud of his daughter, Jen, for working with The Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation and helping kids with kidney disease. He said he couldn’t imagine being a child and having kidney disease like he had. In lieu of flowers, please consider making an impact in his honor and donating to his NSF campaign. We know he would be so proud to see it go big!

Dad, thank you for showing us how to make friends wherever we go. Thank you for teaching us to laugh at almost everything. Thank you for showing us that kindness will take us the farthest in life. We will carry these gifts with us forever. And thank you for choosing us to be your family. We love you forever. RIP Bapa Dan💗
