Across Sub-Saharan Africa, many illnesses could be prevented with awareness, vaccination, and basic health interventions. Yet countless families continue to face health challenges that deny them the chance at a healthier future.

Since our founding just four years ago, we have been dedicated to tackling health and environmental challenges through research, awareness, and action. We combine research, education, and community-driven action to address health disparities, strengthen resilience against climate change, and advance environmental sustainability. From building local capacity and training young researchers to engaging communities directly in health and environmental solutions, HERI’s work is about creating lasting change where it matters most.

The HERI Virtual Gala grew out of this commitment. What began as a modest gathering has become a global moment of connection, an opportunity for friends, families, and communities across borders to come together, celebrate progress, and sustain our mission. The Gala is not only about raising resources; it is about reaffirming that progress is possible when we act together, and that underserved communities remain at the center of our work.
