We honor his ongoing legacy and dreams of blending education with community development, cultural hubs with classrooms, curiosity and intellect with joy and laughter. We at the Castlemont Fabrication Lab designed and are printing these hoodies in honor of a man we cannot replace, but can continue to rejoice and carry forth with. The Castlemont Fabrication Lab has been in existence as long as the Castlemont Farm, well over a decade. We share similar trajectories in growth and importance to city and education systems state and potentially nationwide. With Boomer's vision and energy, and our deep partnerships, the Fablab and Farm houses a growing multiethnic, multigenerational creative nexus in the Town.  The Farm and Fablab make up a vital educational node in a growing urban agriculture zone of farms, creek restorations and large scale design and build projects. The Fablab and Farm further supports the upswelling of creative community and cultural development throughout Deep East Oakland to the region.All proceeds beyond costs for materials, printing and shipping go to a newly established Dr. Marvin Boomer Jr. fund, in support of education efforts and community growth in underserved areas. We are working with Boomer's close colleague and family to develop this fund to the benefit of the youth and communities he cared so much for.
