About the Campaign

This campaign was first launched in honor of Desiree’s birthday, our founder and Professor at Stanford University, as a way to celebrate her vision and commitment to sustainability. Instead of gifts, friends and supporters were invited to “buy a coffee per week for sustainability” contributing $25 a month to support HERI’s work in building science informed solutions for health, environment, and climate resilience.

That simple idea became a symbol of what collective action can achieve. Every contribution directly supports HERI efforts for community awareness and education as well as the capacity building of community service providers to enhance their ability to promote health and sustainability.

Now, as we transition to this new platform, we are relaunching the campaign to continue what was started. By joining, you become part of the HERI Global Village helping us create impact month after month.
