YVote is a New York City–based nonprofit building a generation of informed, engaged young leaders ready to drive change in their communities. Founded in 2017 by youth who asked, “Why vote?”, YVote equips teens across all five boroughs with the civic knowledge, leadership skills, and confidence to act—at and beyond the ballot box.

Through peer-led programs like Democracy Camp, the Changemakers Institute, and the Next Gen Civic Fellowship, YVote helps youth explore the issues they care about most, connect civic learning to real-world impact, and turn passion into action. Our programs are free and stipended, ensuring access for all NYC youth—especially those historically underrepresented in civic life.

Beyond our programs, the Youth Civic Hub (YCH) serves as a digital platform and community space where young New Yorkers connect across schools, neighborhoods, and identities to share opportunities, resources, and youth-led media. Together, these efforts are creating a citywide movement of civically informed and empowered young people who are shaping the future of democracy, today.
